Print on Demand Terms and Conditions

  • What is a Made to Order item?

The items on sale on this page are all part of our new made to order collection.  These items are not stocked instore and are made to order by our Print On Demand supplier, Teemill.  When you place an order for one of these items it is sent directly to Teemill, who will print the item and ship it directly to you.

  • Can I return a Made to Order item?

As these items are Made to Order, we cannot accept returns or refunds unless the item is faulty.  We strongly recommend you check the sizing guide for these products with care to ensure you are purchasing the correct size.

  • Why are these items Made to Order?

We wish we could stock all the items we want to sell, but unfortunately that is just not possible due to the space and costs involved.  Made to Order is a great way of providing these items that we would not be able to sell normally.

  • Why are there additional shipping costs for my order?

As these items are made to order and shipped separately from any stock items in your order, we need to charge additional shipping fees for these items.  The shipping costs for these items are:

  • UK Delivery £4
  • EU Delivery £6
  • Rest of the World Delivery £7

If you order a Made to Order item along with stock items, you will notice two separate shipping fees on the checkout page.

  • Can I select collect instore for a Made to Order item?

Unfortunately, you cannot collect these items instore as they are not held in stock at the store.

  • How long will it take for my item to arrive?

Once you place your order it will be sent automatically to Teemill, who will produce the item, package it and ship it directly to you.  This is usually a very quick process but can take up to 10 working days to be shipped.  If you haven’t received your item within 21 days, please email us on unishop@standrews.ac.uk and we will investigate this for you.

  • Why have I been contacted to pay import duty and tax on my order?

All items shipped out with the UK may be liable for additional import duty and tax payments before being delivered.  This is your responsibility to pay, by placing a order with us you acknowledge that you are liable for these additional fees.

  • Who are Teemill?

The University of St Andrews Shop are really excited to have teamed up with Teemill as they are a market leading sustainable clothing company.  They use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, renewable energy to power production, plastic free packaging and have a circular fashion model.

  • What is Circular Fashion?

Simply put, once your item has passed it’s best and is no longer of use to you, you can send the item back to Teemill who will recycle your t-shirt, hoodie or sweatshirt into another product for future use.  Details of this process can be found here.

  • I need more information before ordering

No problem, please email the team on unishop@st-andrews.ac.uk or contact us on live chat and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Teemill Collaboration

We have collaborated with Teemill to provide a sustainable way to make custom merchandise for you!

100 billion items of clothing are made every year. Three of five of the t-shirts made today will end up in landfill within 12 months. That's a truckload of textile waste every second. St Andrews's new range is made in a new way. With certified organic cotton, renewable energy and materials diverted from landfill. Part of the world's first circular economy for fashion where there is no waste.

Once your custom product is worn out, it can be returned via the Remill programme where it's remade into new products, massively reducing waste. This is circular design. Each product has a special QR code on the label that you can scan to send back.
